How do I pay?
The easiest way is the free VelvetBots Terminal: rez it in Second Life, touch it, choose Add Fund and pay. Or pay our VelvetSupport avatar directly in Second Life — any amount from L$50 to L$10,000, from anywhere in the world. It is added to your prepaid balance within seconds, and your weekly plan fee is taken from that balance. Pay from the same avatar you signed up with.
What if my balance runs out?
Your bot stops as soon as its paid time ends, with no grace period. VelvetSupport sends you an IM 3 days, 2 days and 1 day before, and again when it stops. Its settings are kept for 30 days: top up and renew at any point in that window and it starts again. After 30 days without renewal the bot is permanently deleted. Your balance and add-on licenses are kept.
Will I be reminded before my bot expires?
Yes. VelvetSupport sends you an IM in Second Life 3 days, 2 days and 1 day before a bot's paid time or free trial ends, with the exact time in SLT. If you're offline, Second Life delivers it as an offline IM. If auto-renew is on and your balance covers the next week you won't get reminders, because the bot renews by itself.
What does AI conversation cost?
Every paid week of a plan includes AI credits for that bot — 50 on Basic, 150 on Premium. A Standard AI reply uses 1 credit and a Mature AI (18+) reply uses 2. Once the week's credits are used, AI replies come from your balance: L$1 for Standard AI, L$2 for Mature AI. Credits belong to that bot, pay for AI replies only (never plans, renewals or add-ons) and come with paid weeks only — a 4-week renewal includes 4 weeks of credits, not 5. New customers get L$100 in AI credit during their free trial. If a bot stops for non-payment its credits end; renewing starts a fresh week. The AI pauses only when credits and balance are both used up; your bot stays online with canned replies.
Why do my AI credits expire every week? They come with my plan, so shouldn't they roll over?
AI credits are a weekly allowance included with your plan, like a weekly quota, not a balance you build up. Every paid week your bot starts fresh with its full amount: 50 credits on Basic, 150 on Premium. Making them weekly is what lets us include them while keeping plan prices low. Credits you don't use in a week aren't charged to you separately; they simply reset with the next week. If your bot needs more in a busy week, AI replies carry on from your balance at L$1 for Standard AI or L$2 for Mature AI, so it never goes quiet. If that happens most weeks, Premium triples the allowance. Your balance itself never expires.
I paid for 4 weeks at once. Why do my AI credits come weekly instead of all together?
Paying for 4 weeks pays for your bot's plan in advance. The AI credits that come with it are a weekly allowance, so each paid week gets its own fresh set: 50 on Basic, 150 on Premium. You still get the full amount for every week you paid for, so 4 weeks of credits (200 on Basic or 600 on Premium across the period), just one week at a time, the same as every customer. That way your bot has a full allowance every week of your plan instead of risking using it all up in the first few days.
I paid for 4 weeks and got 5 weeks of hosting. Why did I only get AI credits for 4 weeks?
The 5th week is a free bonus we add when you renew 4 weeks at once: you pay for 4 weeks and get 5 weeks of hosting. AI credits come with each paid week, so you get 4 weeks of them: 200 on Basic or 600 on Premium in total, given one week at a time. During the bonus week your bot stays fully online with all its plan features, and AI replies carry on from your balance at L$1 for Standard AI or L$2 for Mature AI. The bonus week is a free week of hosting, not a fifth paid week.
Can I try the AI for free?
Yes. New customers receive L$100 in AI credit with their first bot — about 100 Standard replies or 50 Mature Mode (18+) replies, in any mix. It is used before your balance, applies to AI replies only and ends with your bot's 7-day free trial. One per customer; your dashboard shows the remaining credit.
Why are there two AI prices?
Standard AI (1 credit or L$1 per reply) and Mature AI (18+) romantic chat (2 credits or L$2 per reply) run on different language models, each chosen for quality at its job. You only pay when your bot actually replies, and you choose the mode per AI Brain.
What happens if a visitor sends a mature message to a standard AI Brain?
Standard AI declines mature chat, so your bot replies with a warm, friendly decline (still L$1 for that turn). If you would rather not interrupt the chat, switch on "Auto-switch to Mature AI when needed" for that AI Brain: only the turns Standard AI declines are answered by the Mature AI and billed at the Mature price (L$2). It is off by default, and you are never charged the Mature price unless you turn it on.
Can I get a refund?
Prepaid balance is non-refundable except where required by law or where we choose otherwise, for example after a fault on our side.
